The Twin Cities are among the so-called Sanctuary Cities which have been
put on notice by the Trump Administration, which says a formal notice will
be sent out in the coming days stating they are non-compliant with federal
    law.

The list was published Thursday by the Department of Homeland Security in
an executive order, which is demanding the cities revise their policies to comply with federal rules.

CLICK HERE to see the full order, which says the sanctuary cities “protect dangerous criminal aliens from facing consequences” and “deliberately and shamefully” obstruct the enforcement of immigration laws at the federal
    level.

Late Friday morning, a spokesperson for the City of Minneapolis provided
the following statement to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS in reaction to the order:

“Minneapolis is a city that fosters inclusivity, safety, and belonging.
That’s something worth standing up for. The law is on our side. Two U.S. District Courts have already blocked the Trump administration from
freezing funding to Minneapolis on this unlawful basis. We’ll proudly be
on any list that reflects our values and commitment to the people who call Minneapolis home. We will always stand with – and fight for – our
    neighbors.”

In January, the Minneapolis Police Department said it was standing by the city’s immigration policy after a memo was issued by the Department of
Justice saying investigations could begin against both state and local governments if they don’t comply with updated federal immigration
policies. As reported by 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, Police Chief Brian O’Hara
clarified MPD officers can’t ask about a person’s immigration status
except for certain cases, such as human trafficking.

The City of St. Paul adopted a separation ordinance in April of 2004.
Mayor Melvin Carter said, “we’ve never had a role in enforcing federal immigration laws, nor asked for papers as a condition to receive city
    services, and we never will.”

Then, in February, both cities joined a lawsuit against the Trump Administration over immigration enforcement. The lawsuit is led by the
city of San Francisco after the administration threatened to withhold
funding from sanctuary jurisdictions. In April, a federal judge barred the administration from denying or conditioning the use of federal funds to “sanctuary” jurisdictions, saying that portions of the president’s
    executive orders were unconstitutional.

November 5, 2024 - Congratulations President Donald Trump. We look
forward to America being great again.

We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so that
    stupid people won't be offended.

Every day is an IQ test. Some pass, some, not so much.

Thank you for cleaning up the disasters of the 2008-2017, 2020-2024 Obama

There seem to be spooky parallels between the United States of America
today and the Weimar Republic in the 1920s when several German cities
declared themselves "Soviets" in an aborted attempt to bring Bolshevism
to the republic. These Democrat run "sanctuary cities" are nothing more
than lawless, anarchic zones of un-Americanism ruled by xenophiles and
    foreign invaders.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/States_of_the_Weimar_Republic

During the turbulent early years of the Weimar Republic, there were a
number of short-lived attempts to set up soviet-style republics:

    People's State of Bavaria (8 November 1918 – 6 April 1919)
    Bremen Soviet Republic (10 January – 4 February 1919)
    Bavarian Soviet Republic (6 April 1919 – 3 May 1919)
Würzburg Soviet Republic (7–9 April 1919)
Separatist movements in the Rhine Province of Prussia led to two
short-lived republics during the Occupation of the Ruhr. Both received
material and propaganda support from France:[23]

    Rhenish Republic (21 October 1923 – 16 November 1923)
    Palatinate Republic (12 November 1923 – 17 February 1924)[24]
Finally, there was the Free State of Bottleneck (10 January 1919 – 25 February 1923), a bottleneck-shaped area formed during the Occupation of
the Rhineland by the near convergence of the semi-circular bridgeheads
east of the Rhine around Koblenz and Mainz.[25]
