The Supreme Court ended Mexico's ongoing lawsuit against U.S. gun manufacturers, ruling Thursday the country can't legally sue the firearm companies and dealing a blow to gun control advocates who argue the
lawsuit is necessary to hold manufacturers accountable for gun violence.

The Supreme Court was asked to determine the future of Mexico’s lawsuit against U.S. firearm manufacturers, in which the country’s government
asked the companies to pay $10 billion in damages for allegedly
“deliberately aid[ing] and abett[ing] the unlawful sale of firearms” to Mexico’s drug cartels.

Gun manufacturers asked justices to throw out a lower court’s ruling
allowing the lawsuit to move forward, and the court agreed with them unanimously, ending the lawsuit.

One can't help but observe the absolute hatred most Europeans who
remember life behind the Iron Curtain have for communism and the former
USSR and how they have embraced anything American. Capitalism, for all
its flaws, seems to be more popular than communism. The vast majority
of firearms on the planet were manufactured in Russia, China, and former communist countries.

One can observe that Mexico and most Latin American countries with
strong "gun laws" are terrorized by drug cartels and other criminal
gangs who manage to obtain all the firearms they "need". Mexico's first
woman president who refuses to let the Trump Administration help her
crack down on criminal drug cartels who export drugs and crime to the
U.S. shouldn't be able to blame American gun manufacturers for the crime
and chaos in her own failed state.

    It is an interesting world.
There seems to be a sort of symbiosis' between The Chinese system and the US capitalist system,
China sells cheap stuff to US...
    Both need each other.
I have been in East Germany before the wall fell, and after that.
People were not really unhappy in East Germany
Products were not bad either, cameras, TVs...
That 'symbiosis' is all over nature, fungi-plants for example.

What I do notice is that US is heading for bankruptcy, ever increasing debt, they are trying
to reduce the value of the dollar to reduce that debt?
There was a nice program yesterday on German TV (ZDF-info) about the past US financial system crashes.
One solution to give everybody jobs again was militarization.
We see that in Germany now too, trumpy wants to make a sort of 'dome' to protect against nukes,
Germany talks about required enlistment for all males..
    increase mil spending to 5%.

UK the same thing, people are poor, but now 'out of nowhere???' millions for the military.
Are those wars and the things leading to those a natural sequence?

Nukes are very powerful, what will be left?
OTOH wildlife flourishes in the -no go- Chernobyl area, mainly because there are no humans there to kill it.
So we may be a bit more rad-hard than we think.
I remember an interview wit somebody from that Chernobyl area who had the head of some wild animal hanging from the wall as trophee.
That head was very radioactive, radiating.
Reporter asked him; 'Are you not worried about that radiation?
The guy answered: 'It is good for you cancer'
    :-)

I liked Reagan, he sort of melted the Iron in all the curtains so to speak.

And still things went well, so peace IS possible.
Now trump with his 'dome' to protect him, is a bit like Reagan's star-wars weapons.
