CBS will end "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and retire "The Late
Show" franchise in May 2026, the company announced Thursday, calling it "purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late
night. "

Forcing Colbert to start a higher paying platform elsewhere.
This why publishers do not settle. Maybe the reason is true. But people trusts CBS. Is what? 60 Minutes still on? How much longer does it have
an audience?

Try not lying to viewers. In years past the mass media was the only
source of news and garnered a lot of trust. When they lie about
something or someone, and there are 10,000 videos on Twitter and
YouTube proving they lied, trust tends to evaporate quickly and
permanently.
As for Colbert, he was a piece of shit, has always been a piece of shit,
and how he lasted this long is a testimonial to poor business practices.

I wrote this suggestion to Stephen Colbert on Twitter
today for his last episode of The Late Show:
@StephenAtHome: For your final episode, please PLEASE
orchestrate this: A team of ICE-uniformed actors come
and force you off the stage. (This will send quite a
message that could garner amazing publicity.)
Also: @jonstewart of the @weeklyshowpod should act as
ICE team lead.

Impersonating a Federal Officer.

He wasn't replaced - the entire show was canceled. It is
expensive and had a declining audience. Plus advertisers
had a problem with many of his guests. Like Adam the Liar
Shift.

? lol. Good god, you're even more ridiculous than I imagined.
If James Austin Johnson leads the way I guess we could arrest him for impersonating the president.

Colbert is such a loser, everything he tries after this will be a
failure. Just like everything he has already succeeded at.

At least we didn't get them started on what happens if
someone impersonates space aliens who are in positions
of authority -- oh damn, did I just open that tangent?
