Like it or not, this Epstein files things is growing legs. Sooner or
later, what can be released will be released - we hope.

In the meantime, the shenanigans Congressional Democrats have been pulling
here are illustrative. Over at our sister site Townhall, Matt Vespa has a
great summary of the latest attempt by Dems to game the system:

Democrat Ro Kanna thought he was being smart by introducing a resolution
to release the documents. Every GOPer voted against it to prevent Democrat control over that process, which would be ripe for abuse. But then, the
GOP flipped the script and passed their own version that stops the attempt
at a new Steele dossier Russian collusion hoax game, and guess what—the
Dems voted no. In the end, their true motivations were exposed.

The difference between the Republican amendment and the one proposed by
House Democrats is that it trashes documents that are unverified or
    knowingly false.

Here's the resolution in question. This is House Resolution 589, which
    opens:

SEC. 1. Release of Documents Relating to Jeffrey Epstein.

    (a) In general. - Not later than 30 days after the date of enactment of
this Resolution, the Attorney General shall, subject to subsection (b),
make publicly available in a searchable and downloadable format all
    credible:

    (1) documents, records, and communications, including metadata, in the possession of the Department of Justice, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and United States' Attorneys' Offices, referring or relating
to the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Seems reasonable. So, where do the Democrats come in?

The original resolution, it seems, didn't discriminate when it came to the credibility of the documentation. Outright fakes and frauds, such as the apparently invisible letter from Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein I
reported on earlier Friday, would have been included in the document dump.

Look at the voting record on the amendment.

Four votes. All on party lines. The first three, all the Democrats voted
"yes," the Republicans all voted "no." So, a 9-4 vote against.

In the final tally, the vote was reversed; the Republicans voted "yes,"
    the Democrats, in lockstep, "no."

    So what happened?

As Matt Vespa points out, it is apparently in section (c)(1)(G) of the resolution, listing as an exclusion documents that are "demonstrably false
    or unverified."

Like the letter that The Wall Street Journal was touting.

Now let's think about this for a moment. The Democrats have, it seems,
voted to release documents, whether verified, credible, or not. They
opposed the addition of "demonstrably false or unverified" as a reason to exclude documents. What does that tell us?

It tells us that the Democrats aren't interested in an honest assessment
of what really happened and who was involved. They are looking, still,
after all these years and all these abject failures, for a "gotcha" that
    will finally get Donald Trump.

Principles, not principals. It's all about The Side with these people, and
the full story be hanged. They aren't interested in the full story. They
just want to sift through for a gotcha.

This is nothing new for the Democratic Party. T'was always thus, going
back as far as Lincoln. But something about Donald Trump has sent them
over the edge, to the point where they will attempt things as transparent
as this; no pretense at all of fairness.

This time, at least, it isn't working. We can almost hear the cries from
the Democrat side of the aisle: "Curses! Foiled again!"

November 5, 2024 - Congratulations President Donald Trump. We look
forward to America being great again.

We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so that
    stupid people won't be offended.

Every day is an IQ test. Some pass, some, not so much.

Thank you for cleaning up the disasters of the 2008-2017, 2020-2024 Obama
/ Biden / Harris fiascos, President Trump.

Under Barack Obama's leadership, the United States of America became the
The World According To Garp. Obama sold out heterosexuals for Hollywood
    queer liberal democrat donors.

Who will Democrats sacrifice to make this go away and protect their
