The Democrat party right now is a rudderless ship. They have no
leadership, no prospective victories on the horizon, no serious candidates
to lead them through the desert, and they all just look miserable. Donald
Trump at this moment has completely destroyed the Democrat party. Since
his historic victory in November, the wins just keep coming—to name a few,
he has single-handedly secured the border, accelerated economic growth,
passed his “One Beautiful Bill,” secured peace agreements across several
major countries, defunded NPR and PBS, do I need to continue? It’s only
July. Honestly, he could pass the presidency off to VP JD Vance right now
and still go down as the greatest president of our lifetime.
Democrats are not only taking these losses one by one, but the effort to
push back on Trump has left them embarrassed, demoralized, and searching
for answers. Let’s look at five ways the Dems lost to Trump and lost their minds.
Self-Owns
No one can pull a classic self-own better than the Democrats. Typically,
the party is pretty good at sticking together. It can be hard at times to
peel off certain members to vote with Republicans. Well, that was not the
case last month when Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) attempted a vote to impeach President Trump. The vote failed on the House floor by a count of 344 to

I never thought I’d see a day when Democrats on the House floor voted in
favor of keeping Donald Trump in office. That was something to behold.
Stupid Stunts
Usually, when a member of Congress is going to do something stupid, it
doesn’t involve taxpayer dollars. That was not the case when Maryland
Senator Chris Van Hollen took a trip to El Salvador to rescue a “Maryland constituent.” After deporting Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, Sen.
Van Hollen began his crusade to get this upstanding man back to his family
in America. The only problem? Garcia is an MS-13 gang member who entered
the country illegally and has ties to human trafficking. This is the man
Van Hollen wanted to bring back to the United States? The Department of Homeland Security put it this way:
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is not a “Maryland Man”—he is an MS-13 gang
member involved in human trafficking who entered the United States
illegally. His removal from the United States should have occurred under
the Biden Administration. He will not return to our country under the
Trump Administration.
Once Abrego Garcia was deported, Van Hollen made a show of his trip to El Salvador and the subsequent meeting he had with him. Politically, I know
how the game is played, sometimes we push the limit to make a point—but
this stunt by Van Hollen was purely driven by Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Plus, our tax dollars paid for the trip.

Over Abrego Garcia
Stalling
President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” was at one point a legislative
pipe dream. It is now the law of the land, and I give a lot of credit to
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for getting this across the finish line. However, before the vote, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) made
history by faux-filibustering and stalling the vote on the floor. The
stunt was not only a huge waste of time and eventually unsuccessful in
stopping the passage of the legislation, but it also bit Jeffries in the
butt. An old tweet surfaced where Jeffries called the filibuster “a Jim
Crow era relic that has been used to stop progress for decades.”

Made to Stall Vote on OBBB
Of course, this is when extreme Democrats were working to eliminate the filibuster entirely—so he was against it at that time. Speaker Johnson
made headlines by speaking shortly after passage of the BBB, stating
sharply, “It takes a lot longer to build a lie than to tell the simple
truth.” Democrats have been doing everything they can to stall Trump, but
the wins keep coming.
Singing
Oh Lord, the singing. To protest Trump in the way only liberal democrats
can do, the singing began. They sang to protest Trump on the Capitol
steps. They sang to protest the DOGE cuts and Elon Musk. They even did a synchronized dance around the Kennedy Center—which was really special. I
know that both sides of the political aisle do some kooky things at times,
but it usually doesn’t involve elected officials beclowning themselves regularly in public. Very disturbing.
Trump won big, there is no denying that. This list could easily be a lot longer, but you get the idea. Democrats are lost, they’re searching for answers, they’re looking for ways to push back against Republicans—but
they just keep making things worse. Through insane policies, Democrats
handed Trump another chance at the White House. Their effort to push back
has given the right decades of embarrassing videos to use against them.
