Trump says he will impose 100 percent tariff on semiconductors
President Trump said Wednesday his administration was planning
to impose a 100 percent tariff on all semiconductor imports.
“We’re going to be putting a very large tariff on chips
and semiconductors,” Trump said alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook.
“But the good news, for companies like Apple, is if you’re
building in the United States or have committed to build in
the United States, there will be no charge,” Trump added.

I do understand Trump's blitz tactics, but
there WILL be at least some short-term
consequences.
