    Um, why would any teacher in NY and CA want to move to Oklahoma?

    The pay is probably 1/2 or less and the riffraff you have to associate with.

    Good question.
    NYC teacher pay is not great and it's a dangerous, thankless profession.
    Where I live, in the burbs, teachers make 6 figures yet work a fraction of the year.
    The real money is becoming a school administrator.

    Teachers are experts at working the gravy train and I know that for a fact because
    I happen to know a good number of teachers, personally.
    In retrospect, I regret 4 credit courses in Calculus and Physics.
    I would have rather spent my time cutting out paper dolls and duplicating moldy lesson
    plans for 15 years.
