https://www.newsnationnow.com/us-news/midwest/record-corn-harvest-farmers/
U.S. corn production is projected to hit a record 16.7 billion
bushels
Surging supply is threatening to push prices down further
Tariff uncertainty has complicated the outlook for exports
. . .
CAN be too much of a good thing.
Despite climate doom bullshit, it does appear
that the harvest is the largest ever.
But what to DO with it all ?
Corn is mostly starch and oils. That which is not
eaten directly can be ground and squeezed and the
sub-products used in a lot of other things - food
and industrial. Hell, a few tweaks and you can run
a diesel engine on corn oil and the starch can be
made into ethanol - for likker and running cars.
Those extracted products will keep for a LONG time.
Hmmm ... Joe sucked dry the emergency petroleum
reserve - who says it can't be refilled with
lots of gasahol ?
So, while money may be a bit slow coming, I don't
see this huge harvest actually going to waste.
Now farmers ... they ARE very sensitive to money
coming slowly. Many operate in debt until the
harvest, literally a few months ahead of
bankruptcy. Fail to maintain the land and it
quickly goes to shit - full of weeds and the
irrigation and equipment falls apart and you'll
probably get gigantic 'dustbowls' again too.
Most farmers and farm-oriented regions voted for
Trump ... so Trump had better find a fix for this,
FAST. He KNOWS there's a problem, so ....
Giant tariffs on would-be foreign buyers is
NOT good at all.
