I suppose with the series' hey-days being over twenty years ago, what

One of the Australian Free-to-Air channels was re-broadcasting X-Files
last year. Five nights a week, I think it was. Yum.

Strangely, it was on what most most would consider as a multi-lingual
channel. Why?? Well, I suppose it was U.S. English!!

When I re-watch the series from the beginning it will in fact be the
first time I watch it in the original English. During the original run
I was living in Italy, where everything on television is dubbed -- in
    fact very badly.

Now I can certainly follow the series in English. If my memory were
fresh I would appreciate the difference in characterisation, and maybe
be even disturbed by that at the beginning. I find that in Italian male
voice actor in particular always make an effort to sound virile and
dramatic, even where the original is different. The Italian voice for
Hugh Laurie in House is a striking example.

Coolio… nice to see you here. Also nice to see some chatter in the
    newsgroup again.

I’ve been watching some of the mythology episodes from the start of the
show up until season 6 or 7. Have enjoyed those. What I notice now is the difference in technology now vs then. Whilst there were computers boy those monitors were chunky and faxes still played a role.

a completely new series or two where Mulder came back .... and Scully
had had a Baby with Mulder as the father, I think!!

Were 'they' trying to get a re-boot/re-sumption up and running??

The two replacements for Mulder and Scully were played by competent
actors but could never had the same chemistry. It could not work, and everybody knew it. I curious to see if I would be more or less
