    Dear readers,

    Is
    HTTPS://WWW.Upwork.com/legal#terms
any good? I am currently on PDF Page 12 of only one de its agreement's sections, because I sent an unanswered email to a lady on
    Date: Sat, 10 May 2025 01:15:06 +0200 (CEST)

She wrote posts on LinkedIn afterwards today and yesterday. On LinkedIn
she advertises that Upwork is an alternative way for engaging her.

    Sincères salutations.

    Dear readers,

Upwork.com is disturbingly defective. It has informed me for the 1st time after I had registered an account that it blocks functionalities because
it wants to send a text message for verification to a “phone”. No employer ever gives me a telephone which can receive a text message.

Another fault of Upwork.com is that it misleadingly said in red writing
that its Address-Line-1 field needs to be within a certain size range
(when it already was) when actually it was malfunctioning because its Address-Line-2 field was correctly not empty. I overcame this bug by
moving this Address-Line-2 field’s contents into this City field (thereby losing enough space for this full address).

A defect of Upwork is that it does not let me use it to contact a
freelancer who uses it. Upwork forbids SWIFT-IBAN wire transfers for
    payments! “Stay safe

Only pay f re e lance rs through Upwork, e nsur ing Payme nt Prote ct
ion.” said Upwork yesterday. Copying and pasting from Upwork does not
work! I lost a lot of time on 11/05/2025 and 12/05/2025 because
WWW.Upwork.com is a buggy website - as a bank confirmed on 12/05/2025 that
I correctly entered Visa-debit-card details into this website.

I emailed a complaint to legalnotices at Upwork.com on
    Date: Mon, 12 May 2025 02:07:04 +0200 (CEST)
    - “Dear Sir/Madam of Upwork [. . .]

Upwork's buggy website said inter alia: "We are unable to authorize your
card. Please add another billing method or contact your issuing bank."

    [. . .]

I do not have time to waste and Upwork wasted a day, especially with a
huge number of pages of terms and conditions. Upwork does not impress me.

Upwork so-called "Support" refuses to solve this bug. Solve it
immediately. I do not have time to waste!”

    Upwork Notification <donotreply@Upwork.com>
    emailed on
    Date: Sun, 11 May 2025 23:15:21 +0000
    : “Visa was added”.

Seventeen minutes after I invited a freelancer, Upwork wrongly showed:
    "Posted 17 minutes ago [. . .]
    [. . .]
    Invites sent:
    0
    Unanswered invites:
    0".

Upwork does not work with Google Chrome Version 49.0.2623.112 m..

Upwork does not work at all with Internet Explorer 9. It says:
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

    Dear USENET readers,

Upwork sent to me a bad email so I emailed to Upwork a few seconds ago:
"On Mon, 12 May 2025, Chris de Upwork dared to email:
    "Upwork

    https://support.upwork.com/hc/requests/51865517

    Hi Nicolas,"

    Dear Chris,

That is not my name and it is not English for Nicholas.

On Mon, 12 May 2025, Chris de Upwork dared to email:
"We have removed your job "[. . .]" because it appears to be
misclassified or posted in the wrong place on Upwork.

It looks like you’ve posted a public job with a specific freelancer in mind."

If it is public then why did you always refuse to show it when logged out (i.e. you showed a message that it is private when I accessed its URL via
a different webbrowser which is not logged in).[?]

On Mon, 12 May 2025, Chris de Upwork dared to email:
"If you already know which freelancer you’d like to work with, you can invite
them to apply to a job post by following the instructions here (https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/211063518-Send-Invites).
    [. . .]"

I sent it specifically to Théodora Elias Hadad. Cf. 2025-05-12c_Upwork_after_a_friend_used_a_mobile_phone.pdf
    by you.

On Mon, 12 May 2025, Chris de Upwork dared to email:
    "[. . .]

    What’s next?

Your Upwork account is still active, and you don't need to do anything on
    your end."

Contrarily I continue to wait for you to answer my email to
    legalnotices[at . . .]Upwork.com de

A bank and I find your refusal to facilitate payments to this [. . . freelancer] via
an IBAN (International Bank-Account Number) to be dodgy. Most [. . .
similar professionals who perform services for me]
are not paid by a Visa card. None whatsoever are paid by
PayPal. I am not trying to buy previously used toys off [. . . such professionals] on Ebay.

On Mon, 12 May 2025, Chris de Upwork dared to email:
"Trust is at the heart of the Upwork community and our Terms of Service
are a critical part of creating and maintaining that trust."

The many failures you are wasting my time with yesterday and today do not
earn you trust. Solve this payment problem by 1:30p.m. tomorrow (i.e.
shortly before a SWIFT-international-wire-transfer deadline), or do not be surprised if I would add a criticism about this would-be failure to HTTPS://WWW.Trustpilot.com/users/6749b408033b22922347d506

I shall copy most de this email's body to this USENET thread after a few seconds.

    Sincères salutations.
