  • [Info-ingres] export the rules or procedures only?

From Adrian Williamson@21:1/5 to The Game Crusher on Wed Mar 10 16:40:17 2021
    To: info-ingres@lists.planetingres.org

    Hi,

    https://docs.actian.com/ingres/11.0/index.html#page/CommandRef%2Fcopydb_Comm and--Copy_and_Restore_a_Database.htm%23

    [-with_proc]
    [-with_rules]

Is where you need to start looking...

    Cheers
    Adrian

    thanks,that's what I needed.
Do you know if it is possible to export a table as JSON?

Not getting a warm feeling about being able to specify JSON structure for
whole table exports - but I am notorious for not reading the instructions.

Actian X 11.1 (Ingres for the new generation) is where I'd push you to have
    a look:

    Hi,

Actian have been adding support for JSON in a number of product lines, for
the Ingres side I'd need to check the release notes on the later versions.

It is not something I have had to do.

What version if Ingres are you using?

    Cheers

    Adrian

I would have hoped to see a JSON section next to the section titled
"Generate XML and Import XML Operations"

I see that the unwashed masses have created quite a market for XML to JSON conversion.

I will never be reconciled to XML as an exchange format.

If one is desperate for JSON it might be easier to export the tables as
CSV files and convert those to JSON.
