Bonjour Huub,
I allow me to ask you another question.
The size of OTUk is not always same:
- If there is a FEC area, we have 4 x 4080 bytes.
- If there is no FEC area, we have 4 x 3824 bytes.
Have you ever seen equipments that have no FEC area? Instead of a present FEC area with a valid or a padding content.
Best regards,
Michelot

Re-bonjour Huub,
After writing my previous post, I just understood the concept of:
OTUk, OTUkV and OTUk-v (fully and functionally standardized)
Is OTUkV without FEC area used today?
Best regards,
Michel
