Licklider and Taylor envisioned a future where computers
would enable people to collaborate more effectively,
sharing ideas and solving problems in a highly interactive way.
Usenet reflects part of this vision by allowing users from all
    over to engage in discussions,
exchange knowledge, and build communities around common interests.

However, Usenet differs from their vision in important ways.
    While it facilitates communication,
it remains mostly text-based and lacks the interactive, dynamic
    tools they anticipated.
    Instead of real-time collaborative problem-solving,
Usenet focuses more on open conversations and information sharing.

Both of them shared a same goal : they wanted to create to allow people to have communication and share informaitons in a easier whay. So usenet emploies this because it allows its users to share their ideas and discuss with others about topics. It
helped people to open their mind and see different ideas from each other.
The divergence between Usenet and their idea is that Usenet works as a text message. It does not allow people to interact in a realistic time with posts. And also has evolved in a way that its no longer a tool to communicate, but to share, influence the
