  • Building the new beta (21.5.35) on Windows

    Has anyone been successful in building the new beta on Windows?

    I'm hitting an issue where the new ucrt (VS 2022) doesn't seem to like
    the handling of stderr, raising an assert of the file handle. I think
    this might have something to do with the pipe setup via i.exe, since I
    can run the temacs compilation of elc when non running it through
    i.exe. However, I hit similar issues in a later phase of dumping.

    I can build it on Cygwin without issues. I’ve been working on getting it to build with VS, but I see the same problem (among others) and haven’t yet managed to debug it. If you have the appetite, I’d be glad of patches.
