Is there any way to stop YT offering (in the basic home page, i. e. what

I've viewed, as it puts a red line under the thumbnail. It seems daft -
even from their commercial point of view - to keep offering such to me,
at least within a day or two.

(I don't want to _block_, as that may make it less likely it will offer
ones from e. g. the same artist, or on a similar subject; just not the
    actual ones.)

I never block anything on Usenet. As you kind of put it, Youtube could
block some good stuff that was on the same subject, but much better
    written and produced.

Agreed. It just seems very odd that they offer me clips I've just
watched, while _showing_ me that I have (the red line).
