    So that means you need OAuth2 to use IMAP, SMTP etc.?
    I can't check that because I don't have a Google account anymore.

    Yes, or an "App Password" if the program does not support OAuth2.

    Both OAuth2 (in Thunderbird) and an "App Password" (in Agent) are
    working here with Gmail, while "less secure apps" is turned off.

    ok, that sounds goof for normal users if the service doesn't support
    OAuth2.
