• Avoid unnecessary duplicate downloads - how?

How can I teach the current Chrome to recognize image files
before downloading them if they are already on the hard drive
(e.g. the default download folder) and are NOT downloaded
ANYMORE OR show me ahead that this file already exists? Because
Firefox can do that from the beginning....
    Windows 10; 22H2 (10.0.19045.2)
Thank you very much for your help....

Informed me thanks to your tip. Firefox would indeed print
several PDF files in a row, but ONLY online PDFs. However, I
especially want to print PDF files multiple times that are on my
hard drive and not have to - that Firefox would have access to -
    upload them first.
Thank you very much for your tip. Greetings from Hamburg!

Actually, every web browser can open a local file. You just need to enter the url file://<full path>, or just right click the file and select "Open In",
    then select firefox.
