• Is bug-gawk@gnu.org down?

From Kenny McCormack@21:1/5 to All on Tue Apr 22 14:19:54 2025
I sent a post to bug-gawk@gnu.org and waited the usual 30 minutes (twice
the nomial "Archives are refreshed every 15 minutes" wait time), but my
post did not show up on the "archives":

    <https://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/bug-gawk/2025-04/index.html>

    Can this be fixed? Thanks.

Posting here accomplished something. It got you to respond. For which I
am grateful. As you can probably gather, I have no idea how the mechanics
on those mailing lists work (or not work, as the case may be). That's why
I post here. As has been noted, in many ways over the years, that's why
Usenet continues to survive, despite widespread reports of its demise,
because us old farts don't want to have to deal with the BS that every
other form of social media (including, yes, including things like bug-gawk) require you to learn.

Anyway, my post did eventually show up there, after about an hour or so, so
I guess all is well. Apparently, there is some kind of delay built-in to
the system (more than the advertised 15 minutes).

"(Gawk) What is the function of the (new) third arg ....."

You seem to have the need to learn, why otherwise ask about this (new)
    third arg ??

    😁
