In PostScript some things can be identified by a "XUID" which is an array
of integers. Is there a standard way to convert a UUID into a XUID? I may
wish to use such a thing but am not registered with Adobe, and would want
to use the UUID system to make up the ID numbers instead.

If not, one possibility to make up such a thing would be to assign some
number as the first element to indicate that it is a UUID, and then the
next four elements are the 32-bit integers formed from the UUID (perhaps,
the first octet of the UUID could be the high octet of the second element
of the array, and the last octet of the UUID could be the low octet of the
last element of the array).
