• status 'Withdrawn' in Tcl Improvement Proposals

From Nicolas Robert@21:1/5 to All on Sat Nov 5 06:15:47 2022
    Hello ,
TIP 214 would be a great help to me. But it is written that his status is 'Withdrawn'.
Since my first language is not English, what it means ? If I understand , it will be deleted (I'm not sure), if yes, why is it still on the TIP list since 2004 ?

    Thanks

    Nicolas

TIPs are never deleted. Withdrawn means that their addition to the
language will not further be pursued. In the case of TIP 214 this is
most likely because the functionality has already been provided via the tcl::unsupported::representation command.

    Schelte.

okay , thanks for the clarification.
I already use this command, but sometimes I have problems with it.
I like the idea of having an integrated command in TCL.
