• Monthly meetup schedule

From stevel@21:1/5 to All on Tue Mar 14 17:11:11 2023
As per Harald's suggestion I've drafted a schedule for the monthly meetings which is documented at https://wiki.tcl-lang.org/page/Mar+2023+Tcl+Meetup+notes. It involves a regular, fixed rotation through three zones - Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

The meetup will be scheduled for 2000 hrs in each zone on a rotating basis, e.g.
    - April Eastern 2000 hrs
    - May Western Europe 2000 hrs
    - June Eastern Australia 2000 hrs
repeated throughout the year. See the above link for more detail.

This should allow people to schedule the meetings into their diary well in advance.

Any comments or suggestions before I go ahead with this plan?

The calls are via Zoom, the details are available on the Tclers Wiki at https://wiki.tcl-lang.org. Look for the mention in the Message of the Day on the Home page or the Changes page.

Is it through zoom, or through jitsi?

Also: how long is a meeting. Or if that depends: what is the range?

Meetings are informal and last at least an hour, but often go longer. People come and go as they are able to attend. Topics depend on the interests of the attendees. It's a good place to meet people and discuss issues you might be having, or just get
    feedback on an interesting project.

    Hi Steve,

thanks for providing this detailed schedule. It is good to know in advance when and at what time the meeting will be and indeed at least two times are convenient for Europeans such as myself :). It also means that we can all send out the call, should
    this be opportune.

    Regards,

    Arjen

OK, then I will not participate. I do not want to indirectly support
    genocide.
