• Setting up address book

From Daniel@21:1/5 to All on Mon Jul 8 00:21:35 2024
My email provider has a dav setup for synching address books. Ive been
trying to find the magic combinatino of letters and numbers to set my
address book up in alpine to sync with the dav service

My service provides easy, fisher-pricey instructions basically listing
the server name, then add username and password.

The alpine address book wants the address, but then the folder and name.

    This is the real list:

    url https://dav.privateemail.com
    login email address
    password password

Alpine setting (assmuming it is using the same credentials as the imap configuration)

    Server Name: https://dav.privateemail.com
    Folder Name Contacts
    Nickname Primary

It fails to connect: fails to fetch blablabla

    What am I missing?

Does alpine even support DAV? AIUI it only supports LDAP address books
and those accessed via IMAP in the UW format.
