    I try all the tricks without fortune. Then I find a website from which I download a few patch files. I copied them in the Eudora folder and voilà, Eudora is now working again.

    Me too! Just a matter of copying and overwriting several files, and Eudora is working right with SSL again.
    Eudora is the best email client by large. It's a pity the development has been stopped.
