    Hello,

I'm curious if mutt and neomutt users are reading comp.mail.mutt in
    2022?

    Best regards,

I'm still here, but I generally use the mutt mailing list to ask
questions. I'll try and answer questions here but if I don't know the
answer (quite likely) I'll point the questioner at the mailing list.

I am, even though I no longer use mutt regularly. Almost none of my correspondents use mail readers that render plaintext e-mails well. I
used to use muttdown to generate plain/html alternativwe e-mails at
work, but then "they" shut down IMAP and SMTP on the Exchange server.

I still sometimes use mutt to send a message to a mailing list that's
still plaintext. But, for 90% of the mailing lists in which I
participate, I use slrn pointed at gmane.

i'm subscribed and see messages that come through.

it seems like messages posted to mutt list via gmane don't work.

Been using mutt daily since 1996 (alpha version IIRC), btw ;)

/me raises his hand -- but I mostly read the mutt-users ML.

I didn't even know gmane was back up and running, so now I guess I'm
going to go down the whole rabbit hole of reading up on the re-launch...

The gateway itself is running, but the web UI that allowed to read
    groups has never been replaced.

Thanks for all the answers. My curiosity was satisfied. At the moment my
mutt is running without any problems, although I have only been using it
    for a few months.

    Cheers!

I am, even though I no longer use mutt regularly. Almost none of my correspondents use mail readers that render plaintext e-mails well.

Is that a major problem? I haven't heard complaints ... but few
people expect mail these days, so I don't send many :-/ I've sent some
short mails to myself at work, and Outlook seems to show them well
... I may have configured Outlook not to mangle plaintext, though.

I don't attempt ASCII art and such, and I expect some MUAs to re-break
    lines in paragraphs.

I used to use muttdown to generate plain/html alternativwe e-mails
at work, but then "they" shut down IMAP and SMTP on the Exchange
    server.

Same here, years ago. I took that as an excuse not to read work mail
    on my free time.

    /Jorgen
