• how to get ipa files from the ipad to a desktop computer (windows)

From sobriquet@21:1/5 to All on Fri Nov 11 19:45:26 2022
Sketchbook is a great free drawing app for the ipad, but since
they recently discontinued the free version of Sketchbook for
the pc, I'm a bit worried they will do the same with the free
version of sketchbook for the ipad in the near future.

Is there any way to get the ipa file from the ipad to a desktop
computer to safeguard it and stand a chance that you can continue
to use it in the future, in case it gets pulled from the appstore or they switch from free to paid?

It seems methods that used to work in the past are no longer
working (since apple has removed the app store from itunes).

You can use Apple Configurator to archive IPA files for iOS apps that
are installed on your Apple devices. I've been doing that for years now,
and have every version of every app I have installed on my devices going
    back to 2008.

I've tried that.. but on the ipad the app doesn't seem to work.. when I start it, it
immediately exits the app. I've also read that it's available only on mac, not on
    windows.
