• Apple is perhaps cheaping out on substandard batteries again in the iPh

Given if you're charging your mobile device every night, that's proof that
your battery is grossly undersized for the device use model (it's crap).

For the past few years, Apple has cheaped out on grossly substandard
battery capacity (such that overall battery life is reduced, by years).

It seems that perhaps with the iPhone 17, Apple is cheaping out again.
Not that anyone will see the money except Apple (who puts it to profit).

Apple resorting to cheap batteries is affecting more than just iPhones. https://www.engadget.com/the-morning-after-apple-may-be-planning-thinner-iphones-macbooks-and-watches-111531784.html

Never forget, the single most important determinant of overall battery life (we're talking years, not hours) is the device's original battery capacity.

Also never forget if you're charging every night, your battery is garbage.

And how often you need to charge your mobile device is tied to how long
    it can run with recharging...

...and iPhones excel in that area.

Hours or years, it makes no difference.

What matters is number of cycles.

And for that power draw is every bit as important has battery capacity.
