Why do zealots claim that Apple is incapable of finding safety & security
flaws in macOS/iOS apps? (See reference cites in the sig for proof.)

The fact is Apple touts that people using their products are safe & secure. Because of the way Apple does things.
    Right?

Today, the Apple religious zealots said that Apple has no control over the safety & security of millions of macOS & iOS apps used by Apple consumers.
    (See references in the sig.)

These zealots claim only researchers can find flaws in iOS/macOS apps.
    Not Apple.

    WTF?
    That makes no logical sense.

    a. Apple provides safety & security, yet,
    b. Apple can't possibly provide safety & security.

Pick one please for God's sake you strange religious zealots.

You can't say in one breath that Apple's ecosystem provides safety &
security and in the next breath you say it's impossible to have safety and security when apps are developed in Apple's ecosystem (XCode/CocoPods).

Why do these zealots claim Apple is incompetent at safety & security?
(And in the next breath, they tout Apple claims safety & security?)

    Makes no sense.

In one breath, the zealots claim the Apple ecosystem provides the users
safety & security in their apps - but in the next breath - they claim that safety & security of macOS/iOS apps uses by billions of people isn't
Apple's responsibility and - they claim - is beyond Apple's capability.

The logical question to ask, given Apple touts safety & security, is...

Q: If researchers can find these flaws in millions of iOS/macOS apps...
    *then why can't Apple?*
    A: ?

See the references in the sig where the zealots claim Apple is incompetent.
But I give Apple more credit than the zealots do.

Apple doesn't care about safety & security; but Apple could provide it.

    No one has said that.

Apple does tout greater safety and security.

That isn't the same as perfect safety and security.

Literally no one has claimed that.

    So...

...did you put your alleged "references" in your sig to make it more
difficult for people to address them in a reply...

...because sigs are automatically trimmed when you hit "Reply"?

I wrote that and I stand by it.

    https://www.novabbs.com/computers/article-flat.php?id=15614&group=misc.phone.mobile.iphone#15614

Chris wrote that, but it doesn't say a single word about Apple being
    incapable of finding flaws.

    https://www.novabbs.com/computers/article-flat.php?id=15614&group=misc.phone.mobile.iphone#15614

This is the same reference as the previous one. Despite not even
actually presenting real examples of your claim, you still had to
duplicate one to get more than three?

    https://www.novabbs.com/computers/article-flat.php?id=15606&group=misc.phone.mobile.iphone#15606

Again, nothing in that supports your claim.

Given how primitive the Apple ecosystem has recently been shown to be...

Let me see if I understand why you rather ignorant religious
fundamentalists Apple nutjobs completely excuse Apple for this shockingly
huge security hole, Jolly Roger, which has existed for a very long time,
even as Apple only touts safety and security - Apple never tests for it.

    To wit...
    1. You likely understand that this hole has existed for a decade.
    2. You perhaps realize Apple did not find it - security researchers did.
    3. You even maybe realize that three million apps are said to be exposed.
    4. You may realize one of the three CVE's allows complete & full control.
    5. You may realize that essentially every single Apple owner is exposed.
    6. You may even understand that's billions of exposed Apple devices.
    7. And you may be aware that estimates are that it's three million apps.
    8. Every single one of which is installed ONLY on Apple devices alone.
    9. Meaning it's purely the Apple ecosystem which allowed this to happen.

Given all those facts above, you then excuse Apple as you say that Apple
should tout this imaginary safety and security that, you say, Apple doesn't even bother to test for (which they could have done, since others did it)?

You're fine with this primitive ecosystem being touted as safe & secure,
when it's not (and worse, you say Apple shouldn't even care to test it)?

    Really?
