Here's the *best* of what a 3.5 trillion dollar company with almost no R&D expenditures (but Coca-Cola-like advertising budgets) can do for iOS 18...

*My 4 favorite iOS 18 features make the iPhone a lot better*
*and more fun; but there are three things I don't love*

    1. Control Center is now a juggernaut
    2. A built-in Passwords app is finally here
    3. Messages feels more like Slack
    4. You can design your own home screen

A few more highlights (of which every other OS has had for years):
    a. Mail gets categories
    b. Calculator app becomes a math tutor
    c. Phone call recording
    d. Call transcriptions
    e. Capture audio in Notes
    f. Lock an app

The three things I don't love
    A. No Apple Intelligence
    B. Photos redesign misses the mark
    C. Journal app is still iPhone only

This is what you get after an entire year of development from a company
whose advertising budget is very many times what their puny R&D spend is.

More spent on R&D than all but 3 companies...
