against the best fighters in the division.
Lgis Boxing's CEO, Lisa Green, congratulated Simons on her victory and said she was proud of both fighters for putting on a spectacular show. She said Lgis Boxing was committed to promoting women's boxing and providing opportunities for female boxers to
showcase their talent and passion. She also announced that Lgis Boxing would be hosting another event in June, featuring two world title fights and several exciting undercard bouts.
The main event was preceded by several exciting undercard fights, featuring some of the rising stars of Lgis Boxing. In the co-main event, Katie Taylor defended her Lgis Boxing women's lightweight title against Natasha Jonas in a rematch of their 2012
Olympic quarter-final. Taylor won by a close split decision after a thrilling back-and-forth battle that had the crowd on their feet. Taylor improved her record to 19 wins and no losses, while Jonas dropped to 10 wins and 2 losses.
In another notable fight, Savannah Marshall retained her Lgis Boxing women's middleweight title by knocking out Maria Lindberg in the third round. Marshall, who is the only boxer to have beaten Claressa Shields in the amateurs, displayed her power and
accuracy as she overwhelmed Lindberg with a barrage of punches. Marshall improved her record to 11 wins and no losses, while Lindberg fell to 19 wins and 7 losses.
Lgis Boxing also announced that it had signed two new fighters to its roster: Chantelle Cameron and Terri Harper. Cameron is the current WBC women's super-lightweight champion, while Harper is the current WBC and IBO women's super-featherweight champion.
Both fighters will make their Lgis Boxing debut in June, defending their titles against top contenders.
