IIRC i686 (and the older stuff like i386 too) are NOT supported by
Fedora anymore.
Even if you have an x86_64 compatible processor (almost all from the
last 20 years are), but run an 32 bit guest system (e.g. i686), you
cannot run an x86_64 (amd64) OS in a virtual machine.

It's CONVINCED I have a 32 bit system. TWO variants
would not install. All VB packages are up to date.
I've had similar probs with Fedora before.
NEED an RPM distro right now. Downloading
OpenSUSE ... but it's HUGE, 4+ gig.
