Jeff Geerling has been running some tests on the ARM-based Thelio
    Astra <https://www.tomshardware.com/software/linux/worlds-fastest-arm-pc-put-to-the-test-128-core-ampere-altra-max-cpu-claims-128-core-cinebench-2024-world-record>.
Lots of power available there under Linux.

Windows, on the other hand, is not ready for prime time. Big surprise?

I wish a person who buys a thing like that, the best of luck with it.

128 cores too! If the apps running are drive intensive, no
performance increase will be noticed by the user.

This would be great for equation intensive CAD programs
like Solid Works. Useless for M$O, Quick Books, and
Turbo tax. Windows is not real good at a lot of cores
either, so this would have to be Linux.

    System 76 make awesome stuff.
