For you, that much snow is apocalyptic; in 2017-2018, we got that much
snow and -25c weather _every day_ for a month.

I broke my elbow a week ago walking back from the beer and wine store, slipping on ice, I had figured if I weren't getting beer I'd be going
to McD's anyway, so same risk, but I sure got hit. Had surgery on
Tuesday, seems to be healing well.

    Ouch!

Hope you're following a good bone-healing diet, rather than just beer
    and McDonald's.

Shh, don't make such recommendations to him. We need for him to follow
the Jeff Relf diet. How else will we replace our resident weirdo?

If there's a lot of ice on the sidewalks get Yaktrax or one of the other traction devices that fit on your boots or shoes. And wear them. I have a selection but fell on the ice and broke a hip because I was only walking
to the grocery store and didn't put them on.

Heal fast and keep up any suggested therapy.

Yikes. If you live with that for a while you adapt. We get 2" once a
year, so nobody makes an effort to prepare, other than running to the
store for bread and milk (and frozen pizza).

We had a serious blizzard here in the early 90s - 2 to 3 feet of snow.
Early that morning I crunched my way 3/4 a mile from my house to the interstate. Stood on a bridge overlooking I-285. Zero cars. Zero
people. Zero sounds. Untouched layer of pure white snow. No movement
as far as the eye could see. Eerie.

I've lived with it since I was born, so I don't have much trouble with
it. I don't like it, but it doesn't bother me. You should see how
comfortable I am driving in terrible, slippery snow conditions.

I guess we might have lost a poster here then.

Why, oh why couldn't God have taken Chris Ahlstrom instead?
