• MicroShit Policy Hinders New POV-Ray

From Farley Flud@21:1/5 to All on Sat Mar 8 15:25:14 2025
One of the great wonders of FOSS is the ray tracer POV-Ray:

    http://www.povray.org/

But those mutherfucking incompetent assholes at Microshit
    are causing problems:

"One impediment we have yet to overcome is code signing for
the Windows platform. Currently we have no means of doing so
as our previous key has expired. The difficulty is both cost
and the need for flexibility in verifying us as an organization."

What the friggin' fuck? Does it mean that free software cannot
operate on that junk OS without a "signature?"

POV-Ray should just say "Fuck You!" to Microshit but perhaps,
unfortunately, the majority of its users are enslaved to Winblows.
The GNU/Linux version works just fine.

As I have said many times before, all FOSS projects should remove
all Microshit versions and distribute GNU/Linux only.

By providing Microshit versions FOSS developers are keeping
that pile of moribund junk alive.

Who but brain-dead idiots use Microshit?
