I say putting the lazy scammers to work should be enough
restitution.
That isn't going to happen.
There is a 'debility' whether it be caused by what someone might
call 'unconscious malingering' or the 'unintentional exaggeration' >>>>>> of some mild 'problem' that disables a person.
It is most easily 'described' as 'back pain' (or someother where)
that prevents their doing any useful work. Like many people whose >>>>>> back pain may be quite severe, but does NOT prevent them from
dealing w/ it and being not only gainfully employed but quite
successful, many back pain problems do NOT have abnormal findings
on Xray, MRI, CATscan, or neurologic testing.
The important thing is that such examples of backpain or whatever
disability do not have black/white determinations. If someone
'wants' to have backpain and be disabled, then surely they are. If >>>>>> they want instead to work, then surely they will.
Back when I was growing up in the 70's, NYC cracked down on the
overwhelming
number of NYPD officers claiming "disability" and they weeded
them out but back then it was a manual effort of staking the
suspects out, taking photos of them rebuilding their garages etc. >>>>> They did manage to catch quite a few though.
With the Internet and online information, who knows?
I am NOT in favor of neighbors reporting neighbors as it is
too close to Germany circa 1939 ie:there is a Jew hiding in the
barn over
there.
That's not good.
Something does need to be done though.
I'm just not sure how :(
only necessities , beer is not an necessity ,
you shouldn't profit on assistance , i did , but that don't make it
right
I know people in disability -- they do not have enough money to live.
You try living on $1500 a months WHILE also having to pay for the
needs your disability creates. That includes housing, all
entertainment, much of your food (they get some SNAP as well),
clothing, bedding, housewares, any Internet access they want (though I
think some get it partially covered), etc.
what's this entertainment need , scratch that ,
what internet and even then , how about 6 hours of dial up ,
show receipts let your worker pick out your no needs
I believe we should make sure people who are truly in need can live a
decent life.
I'm not talking about giving out luxury cars or high-end
perks -- just basic dignity and support.
No one should have to suffer
more than they already do just because they live with MS, are a disabled veteran, or face other serious challenges beyond their control.
I play D&D with several veterans, some of whom are disabled. You seem to have oodles of free time.
The way
they've been treated is deeply unfair. They gave up years of their lives
in service, came home with lasting physical and mental health issues,
and then had to fight for the care and support they were promised. It's
not right. And the same goes for people dealing with chronic illnesses
like MS -- the system too often leaves them struggling alone.
I'd much rather see our tax dollars go toward helping people like that
-- folks who genuinely need a hand -- than continue propping up
billionaires under the misguided hope that their wealth will somehow
"trickle down" to the rest of us.

And?
They deserve assistance and the only ones treating them unfairly are the liberal assholes who hate the military.
