Does Apple or Microsoft have a meaningful share of rendering OS on a >>>>>> commercial scale?
Fun fact: the VFX industry is dominated by Linux.
Fun fact:
The VFX industries render farms may run Linux...
...but that's because it is inexpensive.
And fast!
Why?
Does it have magic beans?
Some of us don't want to pay Apple for the privilege of a good system.Sorry, but that wasn't the point at issue:

Or can you not read?
Not a very clear picture, by the look of it.

As much happenstance as anything. Like if renting AWS EC2,
it would be whatever Amazon happens to use for that purpose.
If we were hauling loads on land surfaces, chances are
the (successful) vehicles would have round wheels.
Whether the traction power is, Ford or GM, isn't much
of the picture. The application doing the rendering, might matter.

The question is never simply: "Is it fast?"
The question is always: "Is it the most speed...
(and this is the bit everyone misses)
...for the MONEY?"
That Linux is used as the OS in render farms doesn't prove that Linux is faster.
It proves that you'll spend less for the speed.
