• Need Help. Monitor Issue.

From Farley Flud@21:1/5 to All on Mon Aug 18 18:53:43 2025
    Any hardware gurus on here?

Ha, ha, ha! There ain't no gurus of any kind (except me) on
    this dump.

But maybe by sheer chance someone can offer insight.

I have an LED monitor and the screen was getting a bit dirty.
Hoping to quickly clean it, I became a bit overzealous and
added too much water to the sponge that I used to wipe the
screen. As a consequence, water flowed down, via gravity, to
the bottom edge where it must have leaked inside and worked
its way, presumably through capillary action, into the actual
    screen pixels.

The result was two large circular blobs of dead pixels extending
    from the bottom edge.

I was going to trash this monitor and buy a replacement but
while I searched BestBuy I noticed, to my surprise, that one
of the blobs was shrinking. I assumed that the dead area was
drying out and the pixels were coming back to life. So I
decided to wait a bit instead of investing another 600 bucks
    for a new monitor.

Well, after about 2 weeks, one blob has almost disappeared but
the other is only slightly shrinking at the bottom.

    My questions are:

Will the blobs vanish completely over the next several weeks
or so, or do I need to trash the monitor?

Would it be possible to expedite drying by blasting the blobs
with the hot air from a hair dryer, or would this only
    cause further damage?

I expect no answers because this group belongs to retards.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

Who knows, man? What I do know is that the screens are, generally,
very fragile, so I don't doubt that a hair dryer could warp them.

I use only a moist towel to clean my screens, being very gentle to not
    scratch them.

What a dipshit, dumbass, retard thing to do, right? Who the fuck cleans
their monitor with a sopping wet sponge? Maybe if you weren't
masturbating at the same time, you could have prevented it, but, I doubt
    it.

What type of an computer whiz doesn't have 3 or 4 extra monitors laying
around in a closet somewhere? You are disappointing. Has your mom agreed
to let you get a new monitor?

If she won't buy you one, try pouring some isopropyl alcohol down the same
hole the water went down. A lot of it, don't worry, it won't hurt it.
I'm suggesting at least a half-bottle of it to make sure it evaporates all
    the water.

You answered your own question. Farley Fucktard is known to be extremely stupid. After all, he IS using the distro built by a retard FOR retards.

Be careful here. Alcohol is highly flammable. With electricity it can
spread fire. If he dies in an appartement in fire because he followed
your instructions you can be hold responsible for his death. You know
he's a retarded half-wit which right place is in an asylum. So, if he
dies it can be considered murder.
