    I add another vote for Thunderbird as a newsreader (on both MacOS and Windows), and for Eternal September as a news server.

    using Thunderbird for usenet news. I use it for email, though.

    That's a nice setup in that you can run emacs in a terminal via an
    Apple II. This is posted from ProLine in an emulated IIgs. Someday
    I'll set it up to run on real hardware.
