• Monitor advice

From Bob Latham@21:1/5 to All on Fri Sep 13 19:39:11 2024
Monitor has died. Need a new one max width of body 21.5".
Current AOC model is 23" diagonal.

I'm using a mini.m computer is monitor compatibility still an issue
or is that a thing of the past?

Looking for height adjust and internal speakers if I can afford it.

    Thanks.

    Bob.

Monitors have got much better at handling various refresh rates, and at
reading the monitor ID and capability info. Video subsystems have also
got much better at generating different refresh rates.

You don't seem to see posts nowadays on the csa groups whining about
not being able to drive their monitors.

So I think it's pretty mush a thing of the past, as you say.

Thanks for the reassurance David, much appreciated indeed.

Why not talk to Andrew @ R-Comp, he can supply suitable Monitors to suit
    your requirements.

Modern monitors can have many options now, from size of screen, how many HDMI/VGA/DVI/DisplayPort connectors, some with and without speakers.

Not all do tilt and turn or high adjustment. But there is planty of choice nowadays. Also remember there are now a fair number of TV/Monitor
    available as well.
