I finished the novel recently (much better than I'd feared), and have had this sheepish desire to watch all the Starship Troopers movies in order
(only seen the first) for awhile now. A few of the sequels have just been added to Prime Video, so the time might be now! Thx for the headsup!

Oh, also: I found a like-new copy of Werber's Empire of the Ants novel for
$5 at a local used bookstore, excited to start reading!

Roughnecks was surprisingly good, even if it was dumbed down to make
it more palatable to the kiddies (and less objectionable to the parents/broadcast standards committee)

At least it had powered battle armor. That put it head and shoulders
    above the Verhoeven movie!

I finally watched it yesterday, but I wasn't impressed. I will stick with the first live action movie. :P

Speaking of action games, were there any Starship Troopers ACTION games?

    Yes.

There was a 2005 first-person shooter released by Empire called -ever
so imaginatively- "Starship Troopers". It... wasn't very good. The
level design was humdrum, it took too long to put down even low-level enemies, and the overall design was just poor.

So, just like the first movie. :P
