I haven't used mine for years! I should go see if it still works. :P
To be fair, Origin itself has been pretty much dead for years. EA move
over to EA App (or whatever its called) years ago; Origin is legacy
ware and, honestly, I'm surprised it was still being supported.
If you had any games on EA Origin, your games are automatically
transferred. It's not like EA is abandoning its storefront/launcher
entirely. It's just retiring an older version.

On a only tangentially-related note: you know one major flaw with EA,
UPlay, Epic, and all these other launchers? The one thing that just
shoves in your face that they're made for the benefit of the
publishers, and not the user? They all launch into the STOREFRONT and
not the gamer's library, and there's no way to change it.
[Yes, GOG and Steam do this by default too... but they also
let you go into settings and make it so it launches to the
library screen]
Epic, EA, etc: you want people to take your launcher seriously, to see
it as anything more than an inconvenient portal that they have to pass through to play their games? Make it so you can launch the app and get directly to our games.
So I tried my old Origin and it said "Please use
EA App to continue".
I installed Origin today, and it doesn't allow you to use it, EA app
prompt instead. Meanwhile, multiple games that I've bought on Origin, NFS Shift & Syndicate 2019 have silently disappeared from my library (I've
bought Syndicate twice, once after they removed it the first time) and I'm a bit pissed.

Do any of you use EA app?
Define "use" ;-)
It's on my computer. In the rare instance I fire up an app-encumbered
with it, it probably launches in the background. But it's been a while
since I even looked at any of EA's catalog. I never interact with the
app beyond, if necessary, closing it manually if it still lingers in
the background after the game quits.
I certainly have never used it in the sense to buy anything, or browse
the store for info about games, or interacted with any of its features
(does it have a friends list? Chat? Achievements? I've no idea).
Oh, wait. The above isn't COMPLETELY true. I _did_ fire up EA-App
yesterday to check if it, like all the other crap-launchers, loaded up
to the store page instead of the game's library page, and looked in
its settings to see if there was a way to change this default (there
wasn't), before reporting on this failing in my previous post. Does
that count? ;-)

uninstalled it and regained 355 MB. I will install bloated EA app when needed. I hope it's never since I read bad things about it to make
Origin look good. :O

Yes, because I like to try a bunch of AAA games from PC-gamepass which
uses the x-box app, and that launches the EA app when they're EA games.
I tried (and even finished a few) far cheaper than I could have that way.
I'm not really sure that counts as 'using' the app, as all I do with it
is launch the game. I don't buy the games on there.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft is creating yet-another-launcher, this one
specifically for its Assassin Creed games. Which may make it (as far
as I'm aware) the first triple-launcher game (launch from Steam, which
loads up UPlay, which launches the AssCreed Animus launcher, which
finally loads the game).
C'mon, Epic, you're gonna let Ubisoft show you up like this? You used
to be one of the big names in PC gaming; I'm sure you're up to the
task! Make a game that requires 4 launchers! I have confidence in you!
;-)
Rumors are the AssCreed animus launcher is mainly designed to push
Ubisoft NFTs, which the company is still excited about for some
reason. Makes you just wanna rush out and pre-order "Assassins Creed: Shadows", doesn't it?
