Oh! Thursday! It's here already (how'd that happen? It seems like only

    Oh yeah... free game time!

    * Legion TD 2

    It's a tower-defense game. I mean, I guess it's an
okay tower defense game but if that genre leaves you
tired then I doubt this one is going to revitalize
your interest. But it makes The Number happy,
    anyway.

Well, checkmark that daily task. Now I'd better start getting ready
for Friday. I hear it's coming up soon.

well I got it but I don't think I played a TD game for at least half a
    decade

Why not try returning to it? :D

    Can I get a refund?

Every now and again I try tower-defense games. They don't hold my
attention long and, on the whole, I don't really remember them. There
was a whole franchise --the "Anomaly" series-- that I kept going back
to just because I couldn't really believe ALL of them were really that shallow. The one I played most is some no-name mobile game I had
(probably still have) on my iPad, whose main benefit was it was so
simple a round could be finished in ten or twenty seconds.

I don't really dislike the genre and I don't want to imply --despite
the snark about the shallowness above-- that they aren't fun games. I
think if they're your cuppa tea, that's great, but they never really
made me want to keep playing.

I got into TD from the advent of it - Warcraft 3 originated the premise
AFAIK. I thought it was very very fun and completed all of Defense Grid
(but then they upgraded it over time with more maps and much much more options).

Fair enough, they are very disconnected feeling games which I don't
    always like.

I don't get what you mean by disconnected here? In what sense?

Like, in terms of not directly controlling the action, but just placing autonomous buildings.
