• The WROCC Vol 42 Issue 12 Out Now

From WROCC@21:1/5 to All on Sun Mar 9 17:30:10 2025
The March 2025 issue of 'The WROCC' -- the newsletter of the Wakefield RISC
OS Computer Club -- is on its way out to members across the UK and beyond
    this weekend.

In this issue Chris Hall updates the NVMe series with a summary of the available drivers and what to do for a machine that 'just works', while
another member describes their use of CashBook for managing an association's finances. We look at the release of a pair of new games for the platform, a collection of desktop enhancements and a number of other new software
releases. Finally there's a summary of the events at WROCC's 2025 AGM, and a look back at RISC OS news from around the time of the release of RISC OS 2.

See https://www.wrocc.org.uk/newsletter for more details of recent issues,
and to download samples of older issues.

Able to trace its roots directly back to the first Wakefield Club newsletter
in April 1983, these days 'The WROCC' is produced in an A5 booklet layout
and copies are delivered free to WROCC members in PDF format. Membership of
the Club costs 7.50ukp per year... and despite our name, there are no geographical restrictions.

The Wakefield Back Catalogue Issue 14
    -------------------------------------

Relaunched following the completion of Volume 41 of 'The WROCC' in April
2024, the fourteenth edition of The Wakefield Back Catalogue contains PDF copies of the Club's monthly newsletters going from 'The WROCC' and 'Awake' right back to the very first "hints & tips" sheet handed out at the April
    1983 meeting.

The new compilation contains around 450 issues and is available as a
download in these more 'virtual' times. It costs 7.50ukp for non-members, whilst members can buy it for the discounted price of 5.00ukp. See https://www.wrocc.org.uk/newsletter for more details.
