• WROCC Meeting - TWimp - 7th May

From WROCC@21:1/5 to All on Fri May 2 06:45:02 2025
    WAKEFIELD RISC OS COMPUTER CLUB

    TWimp
    -----

Meeting on Wednesday 7th May at 7.45pm

Graeme Shrimpton will be demonstrating his TWimp module, which makes writing WIMP applications easy.

TWimp lets you use simple text in English to describe how you want your windows, icons and menus to be created or updated. This allows a quick and simple way to create applications for RISC OS.

Graeme will be presenting how to build an application from scratch. The demonstration will be in BASIC, although you can use this module with any language that supports SWI calls.

This will be the first presentation since its release, and will also answer some of the questions that Graeme has been sent by people who are using the product.

This product, including a demo, is available at https://www.ro32.co.uk

This 'virtual' meeting is open to all, and will take place using the Zoom conferencing service using our regular meeting credentials. Zoom invitations will be sent out ahead of the meeting, but only to those who email info2025@wrocc.org.uk to request one. If you would like to be part of the meeting (and don't already have the link from a previous meeting or receive
an invite in the next 24 hours as a member of WROCC), please RSVP -- at the latest by the end of Tuesday 6th May (GMT).

If you haven't used Zoom before, we suggest that before Wednesday you try to join the Zoom test meeting at https://zoom.us/test on the device that you intend to use, in order to check that your system works OK. You will not require a Zoom account to take part.
