What is the correct Risc OS filetype for an XLSX file.
I've been emailing these via Risc OS and people have been unable to open them. Apparently, this is because Risc OS has been adding an additional extension. I hope that by setting the filetype correctly in Risc OS before sending this will cease to happen.

It is indeed and when I look that is what Risc OS is using.
Checking the outgoing queue, I am seeing "Filename.xlsx,A7F"
I have been creating these on the dark side, moving into a common
folder, and then attaching to a message before sending.
If you ensure that Pluto is using PC MIME and not RISCOS MIME, then
attaching it as filename.xlsx should ensure that it arrives
without any RISC OS appendage.
Perhaps you missed the earlier post...

Hmm, I don't recall ever having made such a selection. How do I
select PC MIME please?

In every Write Mail or News window there is an icon top rightish which
shows the setting - probably MIME/RO for Mail. Click on it to see the
menu of possibilities, which includes MIME/PC, and use Save if you
want to set it as the default for future. Please see Help -> Written
Mail and News for details of the Attachments encoding.
