Well since no one followed up, I did some searching.

There is one solution available, that (apparently) enables the use of
iMessage on Windows that does not require the use of a Mac and that does
not require jailbreaking. It is not free.

For $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year, there is a solution called
    AirDroid Cast.

I hope you are not serious!

Aye aye aye... Joerg never ceases to miss the entire point completely.
He's like a kindergarten kid with fifth grade bullies playing jokes on him.

*Steve's entire point is that iOS is crippled, Joerg.*

It can't even easily do something as simple as this texting Steve wants to
do without paying $300 every ten years for that basic functionality that
every other platform has for free.

Now to be fair to Steve, he'd _love_ it if someone _could_ find the app he wants, for free; just as I'd like a full-screen clock for an old iPad.

But the fact nobody can find such an app for Steve is a point he is making.
    *iOS is crippled*

It can't even do, for free, what Steve wants, which Android easily does.

    it can.

as usual, sms is withholding key info to fit his narrative.

    Hi nospam,

The problem with you is you have an agenda to defend Apple at all costs.
And that you assume we're all never going to ask you to prove your words.

That works fine with the iKooks.
They believe every defense you make for Apple.

Without a single shred of proof.
They even believe your incessant fabrications of imaginary functionality.

But the few adults on this newsgroup won't accept just your words, nospam.
If you claim the app exists on the app store all you have to do is name it.

    You never do.

It bothers you tremendously that iOS can't do the simplest of things.

The fact you have to play this childish meaningless "ftfy" game is how I
know you have absolutely no education and a rather dismal IQ, nospam...

Did it ever occur to you, nospam, that "ftfy" is the response of a child?
Did you ever notice no actual _adult_ does what you incessantly do?

Does it occur to you that no intelligent person on this ng does that?
    Only you.

not only can ios do the simplest of things, but it can also do highly
complex things that are not possible on other devices, which you
continue to ignore because you are trolling.
