What's interesting is I opined an adult observation that iKooks gloat when Apple makes ooodles of profit off of them - as if Apple's ungodly profit margins are some kind of honorific to their "cleverness" in their choice.

Yet, the iPhone is merely a well-marketed set of gimmicks, much like Coca
Cola and Pepsi products are - where - all three are fantastic at marketing.

Because of the cheapness of the product - Apple's profits are astounding!
*The iPhone is cheap sugar water - yet well marketed at a high price!*

The iPhone is akin to that sugar water - yet it's supremely well marketed.
*Fools flock to the iPhone - that's why Apple spends so much in marketing*

    The iPhone....
    .... All marketing....
    ....No R&D....
    ....Profits galore!

This is an adult observation that the iKooks respond with kindergarten
taunts, which, is to be expected from people who fall for all the marketing tricks in the book (and without whom Apple couldn't make all that money).

Find a new line of bullshit, Arlen.

Apple spends more on R&D than all but perhaps half a dozen companies.

Apple are likely unable to spend more R&D than they do already - sort of
    an R&D capability bandwidth limit.

So, acquisitions become the next step. (Apple have slowed down on this
in the last couple years. Sparse market for appropriate companies?)

Failing that, send out the dividends($.23 for Q1) and/or buy back stock
(Apple is expected to spend about $77B in 2023 on stock buybacks - about
3% of the outstanding stock (I didn't fact check that beyond an article
    at one site)).
