• network service monitoring system

From Marco Moock@21:1/5 to All on Sun May 25 11:30:49 2025
    Hello!

I am currently looking for a monitoring system for local and remote
network services. Alerting should be done by mail.

Do some people here have hints?

I would prefer something in ports.

I've been using nagios for decades, literally, suits my needs.

I did have email notifications set up a long time ago, but nowadays I
use the nagdroid app on my phone. I don't have notifications on my phone
for incoming mail, so with the app I will notice something is wrong much faster.

But it works fine with email as well. Just remember that if your email
server is down, email notifications won't do you any good.

    Cheers,

    Koen
