Geoff,
Huge thanks! I also upgraded and found no icons. However, I didn't know which packages were the issue until I saw your message. I peeked at the changelog and guessed an alternate answer: install the new package qt6-svg- plugins.

Hi All,
Upgrading on sid this morning libqt6svgwidgets6 and libqt6svg6 from version 6.7.2-4 to 6.7.2-5 resulted in missing icons in menus, systray etc, downgrading again resolved the issue.
Regards,
Geoff

qt6-svg-plugins is now a Recommends of libqt6gui6 which you will have installed.
If you had to manually install the plugins, then either libqt6gui6 6.7.2+dfsg-5 just missed the mirror sync or you don't install recommendations. When I upgraded my system this morning, qt6-svg-plugins
was installed automatically.
