  • KMail to Dolphin drag-and-drop broken

    In the past couple of weeks, I notice that I can no save email in Dolphin folder by dragging them from KMail. Now when I try to do it, all I get is an option to create a link, whereas I used to have options to copy, move and link.

    This drag-and-drop functionality is a bit critical to my workflow, so if there's a way I can reconfigure it back, that would be great. I'm asking here because I didn't find anyone complaining of the same problem on the Internet.

    I can copy a mail to a folder in Dolphin.

    I get a file with a number as file name. Maybe Akonadi Remote ID (RID) is
    used. When I click it, the mail opens in KMail.

    So appears to work here. KMail 6.3 from KDEPIM 24.12 and Dolphin 24.12.
    Which versions are you referring to?

    So maybe just some package missing on your system?

    OK, thank you for confirming. I'm using the Trixie version of KMail (5.22.3), KDEPIM & Dolphin (24.12), so it seems that I have to wait for the sid updates to come down the pike. That's fine.

    There have been several occasions where KF/Qt 5/6 stuff did not like to
    talk with one another.

    If it still happens with newest KMail then tell us.
