    Hi,

    hi,

your question is better placed in the debian users mailing list (I added
it to the CC). Debian-project is more for project coordination stuff.

Please be so kind to remove debian-project from the CC when replying here.

I'm new to linux, I'd like to know how to create a bootable usb pendrive
with it with refus and install it, the setup is giving me errors despite doing everything correctly.

I tried creating a partition and installing it to my ssd but failed and the same for the pendrive, the directives in the installation setup are unclear and incomplete.

Myself, I have no experience with rufus (I don't use Windows at all), but
there might be people around here who do.

You might need to provide some more details to help them help you.

    - Which setup is giving you errors? That of rufus, or that of Debian?
    - What kind of errors? What does the error message say?
    - I, for one don't understand what you mean "create a partition and
installing to your ssd" (that hints at the Debian install process,
but then): "and the same for the pendrive" (now probably rufus?)
    - which directives are unclear?

    Things like that :)

    Cheers

It's awesome that you are trying to install Debian!

I'd like to know how to create a bootable usb pendrive
with it with refus and install it, the setup is giving me errors despite doing everything correctly.

This is actually not the correct place to ask this question, this is a
list for us to have general discussions about the project. You might
want mail debian-user@lists.debian.org with this question.

But since we are here, you might want try dd to copy (or actually Disk
Dump) the ISO to the pendrive, though be carefull since it can overwrite
other stuff if you pass the incorrect device to dump to - see man dd for
more info. Then you can boot from the pendrive and install Debian on
your ssd. There are also many guides in the internet, so you might want
    to check them out.

    Cheers,
    Charles
